"The ‘Carers Learning Group’ is an educational programme for family carers of people with dementia.

It comprises of four, 3 hr weekly sessions and is designed to give carers a better understanding of the dementia, how to communicate with the person they care for and how to manage their relationship with their loved one as the dementia progresses.

The course is facilitated by two staff members and equips carers with strategies for dealing with situations they may find challenging."
